Kona Kids

The Ironamn World Championships are this weekend, and I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce a few folks I know that are going to kill it out there in the lava fields.  Their ability to qualify and compete on such a stage astounds me.  Even better, these folks are truly good people.
So if you don't know them already, you should check out:
Kim Schwabenbauer: A Pittsburgh girl who talks almost as fast as she swims, bikes and runs.  She races for Ballou Skies, a non-profit raising funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.  She's a knowledgeable nutritionist, a great coach, a rockstar athlete and awesome friend.
Michael Benatovic: This is Mike's first time racing in Kona, as he was fortunate enough to earn a lottery spot this time around.  He made his 140.6 debut last year at IMFL in 10:33, and he offers a unique perspective on experiencing all things Ironman for the first time.
Jeremy and Jocelyn Cornman: A ridiculously fast couple also hailing from Pittsburgh, they will both be competing in Kona this weekend representing Ballou Skies.  You may recognize Jeremy's name from an article in Details Magazine where he credits Jocelyn for getting him fully immersed in the multisport world.  Think she'll let him draft out there?
The absolute best of luck to these guys this Staurday.  We'll be praying for tail-winds and cool temps.
Anyone else got a killer age grouper we should know about?
