"Even his enemies list him as their emergency contact."
Next weekend will be the debut for our ultra distance relay team, The Most Interesting Men Alive, as we attempt to tackle the 126 mile Rouge Orleans run. Are we prepared? Probably not. Are we ready. Nah. It won't be pretty. But it will be...interesting.
Starting heats and maps came out today. Anyone else who has any advice on how to tackle such an event - please, hook a brother up. Thanks to My Life and Running for her advice a few weeks back - zip lock bags will make for happier van-mates.
Other than that, the Carnival season that culminates in Mardi Gras has begun here in New Orleans, which means that every morning run will be down streets littered with plastic beads and other things left over from the night before. Ya gotta love the Big Easy...
Thanks to those who commented in the ISM saddle review - those things are nice - wouldn't be surprised if they aren't the standard within a couple of years.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Pray for the world - it's going crazy.

ReplyDeleteI'll be looking for your race report and review afterwards! I have the New England Relay (220 miles) in June and I'm sure we could use some advice or suggestions.
Good luck not slipping on the beads.
